Dalla diffusione della cocaina tra i piloti francesi e tedeschi durante la prima guerra mondiale, all'utilizzo del Pervitin con cui la Wehrmacht sbaragliò le resistenze di mezza Europa con incursioni lampo, dall'abuso di psicofarmaci ed eccitanti dei marines in Vietnam, agli esperimenti con l'LSD durante la guerra fredda, fino ai miscugli di polvere da sparo ed eroina sniffati dai soldati bambino in Africa, Łukasz Kamieński osserva i campi di battaglia da un'inedita prospettiva.
